Kenneth A. Phillips, 87, of West Monroe, passed away June 1, 2011 at St. Josephs Hospital after a brief illness.  He was born April 7, 1924 a son of Truman & Florence House Phillips in the Village of Central Square, NY.   Kenneth retired from the NYS D.O.T as a truck driver.  He enjoyed fishing, boating & playing cards.  Ken was also known among family and friends as a practical joker.

           Surviving are 2 sons, Clyde & Becky, Central Square & Daniel & Diane, West Monroe; daughter in-law, Joanne of Central Square.  Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Betty in 2003 & a son Paul in 2006.

           Funeral services will be held Saturday, June4, 2011 at 4pm at the Watson Funeral Home, Central Square, NY.  Interment Hillside Cemetery, Central Square, NY.  Calling hours will be held Friday, June 3, 2011 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the West Monroe Vol. Fire Dept.
