     John E. Boughton (JB), 53, of Phoenix, NY died June 3, 2013 at his home. John was born December 16, 1959 in Raleigh, NC his parents being Gerald J. and Lottie Rounds Boughton. He graduated from Paul V. Moore High School Central Square, NY in 1978. John worked as an electrician for 32 years for the IBEW Local 43 out of Syracuse, NY. He was a Mason for many years in the Masonic Lodge 622, Central Square, NY. John enjoyed hunting, playing in the horseshoe and pool leagues, along with snowmobiling.    

     John is survived by his mother Lottie of Phoenix, his companion Deborah Lee Rowe, a daughter Andrea & Billy Hogan of Parish, a son John II & Melissa Lane of Syracuse, a grand-daughter Evalet Hogan, a brother Gerald & Carol Boughton of West Monroe, a sister Marilyn & Chet Burdick of Georgia, a sister-in-law Kathy Boughton of North Carolina, several nieces & nephews, great-nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his father Gerald J. Boughton and a brother Richard Boughton.

     Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Reverend J. Michael Theiser officiating and a celebration of life will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday June 8, 2013 at the Fuller-Taylor Post 915 American Legion Route 49 Central Square, NY  . Watson Funeral Home, 631 South Main Street, Central Square, NY 13036 is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Central Square Masonic Lodge # 622 directed to John Fuller P.O. Box 162 Central Square, NY 13036.

I am very sad to hear that you have passed on. You were a big part of my life in High School and my first roommate in college. I will never forget our times together. Seeing you again in the last few years have been very nice. Prayers go out to all of your family. Rest In Peace my friend!

Of all the students that passed through my classroom, John remains one of my very favorites of all time. He was a great French student, so smart, personable and conscientous. I'm very sad to learn of his death. You have my deepest sympathy in your loss. I'm sure he was a great father, friend, and companion to all of you.

Myself and my wife Jan send along condolences. John and I started a friendship through our employment at the former IGA in Central Square. We shared good times hunting, fishing, a few horseshoe games and other activities, too. May God's peace and comfort be upon your family during this difficult time.
